CLIENT DESIRES AND TOP PRIORITIES

THE GOAL

The goal of this project was to bring 16,000 Amps of power to energize this 180k sq. ft. of cultivation.

THE GOAL

ADEQUATE POWER

CHALLENGE

The biggest challenge was bringing adequate power to this building. We met with the local electrical utility (SMUD) at their headquarters & our engineers worked closely with their engineering team. Working together, we installed two new power poles and a substation to bring enough high voltage power to the facility.

BUDGET

CHALLENGE

The second challenge was designing within the client’s budget. Our engineers carefully designed and implemented all the equipment needed. Being experts in this space and having relationships with several different suppliers, we were able to select the best equipment that would fit within our client’s budget. Over-engineering facilities and driving up costs is common in this space. One of our advantages is our ability to reduce costs while creating productive facilities. We work carefully within our client’s budget.

THE OUTCOME

RESULTS

Our client received exactly the facility they had dreamed of. Within this giant facility, they wanted a productive indoor grow operation, and that’s exactly what we delivered. Despite massive complexities like working within a giant facility, dealing with the governing authorities, and working with several other consultants, we got this facility up and running swiftly. Our client was very satisfied, and as a result, they have given us over a dozen other cannabis projects throughout California.

LESSONS LEARNED

CONCLUSION

Being so large and complex, designing this facility gave us the knowledge and experience to tackle nearly any size cannabis facility. We’re fully equipped to build the most cost-effective and productive facilities in the country.
